En una conferencia organizada por el Yacht Club Punta del Este, se oficializ\u00f3 la llegada de esta prestigiosa regata por cuarto a\u00f1o consecutivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El intendente electo, Miguel Abella, particip\u00f3 del evento y destac\u00f3 la necesidad de darle mayor protagonismo a las actividades vinculadas al mar dentro del departamento. Seg\u00fan sus palabras, a nivel internacional el \u00e1mbito mar\u00edtimo tiene un gran valor, y a\u00fan queda camino por recorrer a nivel local para alcanzar ese reconocimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abella subray\u00f3 el valor de la regata no solo como desaf\u00edo deportivo, sino tambi\u00e9n como una oportunidad para involucrar a las nuevas generaciones. Consider\u00f3 que este tipo de eventos colocan al pa\u00eds en un lugar destacado en el escenario internacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por su parte, el alcalde reelecto de Punta del Este, Javier Carballal, valor\u00f3 el compromiso del Yacht Club con la juventud, especialmente a trav\u00e9s de becas para la Escuela N\u00ba5. Gracias a estas iniciativas, j\u00f3venes de Maldonado han podido participar en la regata, representando al balneario a nivel mundial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carballal tambi\u00e9n resalt\u00f3 el impacto positivo que tiene la llegada de la competencia en la ciudad, afirmando que cada edici\u00f3n deja visitantes encantados con el destino, y destac\u00f3 el trabajo conjunto entre el sector p\u00fablico y privado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante la conferencia, el comodoro Juan Echeverrito elogi\u00f3 la hospitalidad de Punta del Este, afirmando que es \u00abel mejor puerto de toda la vuelta al mundo\u00bb por el trato recibido por las tripulaciones.
